Title: Screaming Cat bats - how rare are they?
Post by: DHunt13 on May 04, 2021, 08:54:09 PM
I picked up a screaming cat off of a teammate a couple of years ago as he stopped playing the game.

The bat itself is a rocket and is an absolute joy to play with.

I'm in the UK and haven't seen another one of these bats ever, are they as rare as they seem?

I sold one one eBay late last year and it went for someone daft, £400+

There have been forum members that have them, maybe still do. Never quite understood why as it's just a top end bat but they do go for high prices on eBay especially if they are in good nick.

I think JM stopped making a few years ago due to ill health. People collect them as they seem to go up in value, a bit like a Rolex watch  :)

I have a brand new, never used one. It was one of his last he ever made and was made for a charity auction I think.
I'm hoping it will put my sons through college one day  :D

They are incredible bats and certainly very rare. JM is a terrific bloke too.

@Ayrtek Cricket had them and he scored thousands and thousands of runs with it.
