Title: Oh no..
Post by: Kai on August 08, 2021, 08:12:12 PM
Hi all,

Just refurbed my GM bat as it is end of the season and when I was removing the scuff sheet (which is a pain already with the stickers on top of the scuff sheet), pieces of wood started coming off and it was a mess after I had peeled off the scuff sheet. I managed to sand it as much as I could by hand to even it out and also glued down some fibres but you can still see some fibres missing if you look closely. The missing pieces aren't big at all and aren't very noticeable but does this have any impact on performance? Should I do anything now or is it too late? 😭

It’s purely cosmetic. Next time peel it across the length of the bat after you have gone around the stickers with a scalpel. Use a hair dryer to soften the glue.
