Wasn’t sure best place to post this so apologies if wrong section.
I have a GN test helmet which only has one removable pad. Not normally an issue but this season I have had a couple of decent knocks and combined with a very sweaty head the helmet basically stinks!
I will wash the pad but any tips or products for cleaning the inside of the helmet?
Cheers!

Would rubbing alcohol work? Does a fair job getting rid of persistent bad smells.

Thanks - any other tips proven to work?
Just noticed my error...its an Atomic not Test helmet.

Maybe try those really strong antibacterial wipes you can get

I don't own one but looks like it has an inner liner that's not removable. Unfortunately, that's a very poor design and hard to clean. AT least with old Masuri helmets, you can remove all (velcro'ed) pads and put them in the laundry and wipe down the inner shell with an anti-bacterial wipe. I think old masuri helmets were awesome!
If my assessment is correct and you can't remove the inner liner, sun exposure is a good way to eliminate odor (or bacteria). Basically, leave the inside of the helment exposed to the sun light for a few hours and that should do the trick.
Another approach I heard from a vendor is to put it in a dishwasher and then dry it in the sun. I never tried it though. :D

Ok it's for horse riding helmets but same thing really. I've used the de-odoriser for 2 years now and not needed the cleaner yet. Been really happy with my helmets condition and smell :o :D.

Sounds like an excellent excuse to get a new lid in the end of season sales...
