Title: 2022 Kit Wishlist
Post by: Jimbo on October 18, 2021, 08:45:19 PM
With the various end of season sales still going on, Black Friday sales coming up and announcements for next season's new kit being made, what's everyone looking to pick up for next year?

Have to confess that I've probably already blown most of the self-imposed budget for next year's kit... 😂

Very very tempted by the GN Predator. Too much time watching Ramps when I was younger. Also, just purchased some MRF Kohli pads.

I fancy doing some more keeping next year and my gloves have seen better days, so may be on the lookout for some new ones. Afraid that's about it though!

Planning to treat myself to a new net stick alongside the obligatory updated softs - totally unnecessary but perks of the job and all that! Spikes are still going strong but I'll keep an eye out for any particularly good deals

Oh, and if Santa could allow the shipping ports to play ball in the run up to Christmas that'd be ideal :D

I need to replace everything.

2 days before the last game of the season I stayed at a mates in Manchester City centre and some scrote broke into my car and stole anything they could get their hands on including my cricket bag from the boot with the best bat I’ve ever used in it. Fuming

I have a mate involved with M&H so will undoubtedly go get everything from them again batting wise

Fancy trying some strettons and there is a shop near me that’s stock ASICS spike so I’ll be getting the 350 not outs in the new yellow/ blue colour way

Need a lid too. Shrey probably

hopefully the coloured puma spikes they are all wearing at the t20 become available, would love a pair of the green ones. probably need a new pair of batting pads so keeping an eye out for some kooks pro players.

bought so much this season there could be a pre season sale

Completely agree, could never find the green ones from the 2019 WC

Probably strippers again and a shed load of cotton fingerless batting inners

After a surprisingly good season with the bat, my poor kit has seen better days so I have made the decision to have a complete overhaul for 2022.

Once their new range has been released, I will be contacting some of the Gunn & Moore stockists and a trip to go and handpick some kit will be put in the diary. I am going to treat myself to a Players Edition bat or two as well as the OLE softs.

Strangely, I have missed the excitement of going to buy new cricket gear!

After three seasons playing c.30 games in total due to injury and Covid, I have accumulated more kit than I can possibly use.  It hasn't stopped me buying another three pairs of gloves but otherwise we are moving playing kit supplier so clothing will be my purchase before the start of next season

A bat that doesn’t have a bloody massive hole in the middle of it is at the top of my shopping list 😆

New stick already purchased (review uploaded soon) to go along with the other keeleys. new Neon softs already purchased ready for next year. Possibly another set of gloves and a new set of spikes. More than likely a bigger duffle too

1) Two short blade SH bats to replace a broken one and another standard SH which will be sold on.

2) A bag to replace the awful H4L one I have, which is falling apart after 18 months.

3) Couple pairs of playing trousers.

4) Maybe new Adidas SL22 spikes if there's any good deals about

5) Balls for net training next year.

Nothing for me, the bat I made myself as one of the first efforts under my own brand has competed its first full season and the softs have stood up well, maybe I’ll add another set to the bag but that will be about it. Got some brand new SL22 spikes in July but never wore them so they will start 2022 and the only thing will be if I bring bags into my range.

If anyone is after some softs LH I have a couple of pairs left at clearance if anyone is interested.

New socks that's it as I don't really bat anymore won't need any batting kit

New bag, i seem to need a new bag every 2 years. Not really sure if its me or the bags.

I realise a bag is just some fabric with zips but some of the designs can be really irritating. New H4L looks good, hopefully it will survive more than a season for the price.

A new outside edge for my bat as its taken a real beating over the past couple of seasons. The middle is virtually untouched....
