Evening all, just a quick question on CA bats. I currently use a kook Small adult due to weight and handle length. I like the CA bats but seem like a light one is very rare, anyone used or held a Harrow and can comment how they feel? Cheers
-
How light do you need? If you're UK based then worth checking out DKP Cricket as they usually have a very good selection of Asian brands and I've definitely seen some 2'7 CA bats in their stock before.
-
Cheers for that, yes I am in U.K. I’ll have a look on dkp and I want something around 2’6 or 2’7.I saw some plus 15000 juniors on The cricket shed and they were offering options of 2.7 2.8 etc so was wondering if these heavier weights on harrow blade would be worth trying
-
My problem with Harrow bats is even in the heavier weights you get very very thin handles and thin shoulders. I had a quick look and DKP have at least two models of CA in 2'7 at the moment.

I'd be sure to clarify they're 2lbs 7oz and not 2.7lbs, as some subcontinent brands measure weights this way.
Away from CA, you could always look at going custom and getting a full width but harrow length bat made up at your specific weight etc

Second this, our forum sponsors can help you out. @jonny77 or @Northern monkey will also do a cracking job if you decide to go down the custom route.

My son has a Keeley Harrow which is 2lbs 2 and not that much smaller than an SH. (slightly narrow and a couple of cm shorter). It is Indian made, but has a decent handle. Worth checking.

Won't a CA be harrow as standard anyway? Never seen a full size one.

I'll give first hand testimony of a 2.6 I had off Jonny for my lad, it's as light as a feather, SH and an absolute Cannon!
