Hello,
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and the cricket this season after a couple of miserable years. I have a very weird issue that I want some advice on.
When batting, I always have an issue with my laces as they keep popping out of my shoes. On the occasions when I have managed to last for more than a few balls, I inadvertently end up asking the bowler to wait while I pop the laces back into my shoes..and this happens a few times. Am I the only one struggling with this issue or is there anyone else out there who faces the same problem. I have a GN pair of shoes bought a few years ago and I leave a couple of the last loops when tying my shoes. I did ponder cutting the laces but not sure if that would be a smart option.

Absolute peak CBF has been achieved with this thread. Well played 👏

I'd like to say yes....but this is CBF! 😂
My obvious question is what problems do they cause when not in your shoes? Can't say mine have ever bothered me....my technique however!
Can't you just push any excess laces under your laces?

Steve smith has someone tape his laces so he doesn’t see them when tapping his bat.

Can’t you just buy more shoes to see which ones you like best. Consider different conditions such as training shoes, wet weather shoes, spare shoes, shoes in case a team mate needs shoes?

Don’t Adidas do a shoe without laces? Problem solved
For example

Steve Smith is potentially the most badgery of all the badgers tho tbf! 😂
-
Tuck the flappy bits of the laces into the laces if that makes sense.

Would these fix the problem?

I did consider these but I dont really like the fit of Adidas shoes. Bit narrow for me.

One of the challenges I have is that I dont loop all the loops in the shoe as I start getting foot pain...so I leave the top 2 knots. This makes the lace much longer and hence a pain to manage.

Could you buy shorter laces then?
