Title: Considering Compression Clothing-Recommendations
Post by: m4ttc on March 12, 2010, 10:23:58 AM
I am considering some compression stuff for the cold early season.

Any recommendations/places to buy?  What is the best make; Skins, CCC, Under Armour or the cricket manufacturers?

Cheers

I heard somewhere that Skins and the Puma ones were the same but Puma were cheaper, but I haven't tested that theory - personally I think the skins shorts/leggings and Underarmour tops are the way to go.

I can sell you a jumper at a very reasonable price, should keep you warm. I have them in cream, bone, white, off-white, ivory or beige :D
Agree with Buzz, the skins leggings look the dogs danglies but they are very expensive. Nike, adidias, puma etc will all do a similar product at a cheaper price.....depends if you want the label or not, as skins are regarded as the top compression brand that i know of.

Unfortunately Skins are by far the best product on the market and nothing comes close in my opinion and by the other guys i know wear skins they back this up. There are more cheaper alternatives but they unfortunately don't come close to skins, skins are expensive for sure so its a case of whats your budget.

Ive always used CCC until recently when I changed to Skins and they are worlds apart, Skins do actually what they are intended to do and compress and support the body . . .superb!!

Obviously they are twice as expensive as any other brand but worth it

Underarmour are good price-wise, about £20-25 for a top, and I can get 10% discount, which will make it even cheaper!

if you want some cheap heat/cold gear, Uniqlo is controversially a good place to go. It isn't compression wear, but it will keep you warm/cool (apparently)
