Title: Wheelie bag recommendations please.
Post by: FvanN on December 25, 2022, 12:44:56 PM
Anyone got any recommendations for a solid wheelie bag. Preferably with helmet & spike compartment. Thanks

I’ve had a neon for about a year and it’s been pretty solid

Had Kooks before and GN bags

All have different benefits depends if you’re keeping, want to carry coaching kits - sidearm, mitt + balls etc, like to separate things. Keep all your kit in one bag or have a separate changing kit bag

I’ve been using one of these after swapping over from my own version as it’s bigger and I needed to carry more kit.

Loads of room in it and very well made. 👍

There’s also this huge mofo that would fit most of the teams stash in too!!

In terms of quality, size, and organization, I have been very impressed by both Focus and Phantom. Have tried them both and you can’t go wrong with either.

Focus:

Steer clear of H4L, mine fell apart in less than 12 months.

Mine is still going strong after 3 seasons.

I've just gotten the new Neon Wheelie duffle for Christmas, give me a season of use and I'll let you know.

Wish mine was, as I loved the look of it.

I even spent hours doing photographs and drafting a write up for the forum, but the bag's failure led me to just can it.

Surely that’s what the forum is for, fair review of kit providing it’s been used within its normal extent to share your experiences?

I'd like to think that.

But having been around forums since there infancy, they all have certain nuances'. So a newbie being negative towards a well regarded forum 'name' can often lead towards a thread going downhill fast and something I was keen to avoid.

Anyway, I read they make nice Bats so I'm still keen on trying an example out  :D

My favorite luggage of late has been the top-end Kook bags - their duffles with the coated materials are really quite nice. GN bags have broken a few times on me quite easily.

I will second this, my H4L has been great. Great design, massive and very durable over a few seasons

Was quite interested in one of their new duffle bags aswell but they sold out very quickly after being released

Perhaps that is the new model. I bought mine used from Peter here. He used it for a season or two and then I have been using it for 3 seasons myself. It is very sturdy.
