I’ve just been given a Kookaburra bat with the shoulder stamp N or Z on it. I know E stands for English Willow. Does anyone know what the N/Z stands for. Thanks
-
Likely the year of manufacture.

Thanks, on the other side it has 16 on which I presume is the year 🤷♂️. Never seen a N or Z before. It’s only a cheap bat but just curious.

Uk bats are always E and the year of manufacture

Someone from Kookaburra just emailed to say the letter stands for the country where it was made so N standing for New Zealand.

The kind man from Kookaburra got back to me and said this model was based on Martin Guptill’s bat. With the number 31 on the back as it was his shirt number and therefore the N pretty definitely being New Zealand made.
Seems a shame to clean it up now, probably just best to keep as is.
