Title: New spikes
Post by: alexhilly1492 on April 01, 2023, 07:01:04 AM
Hi all!

Been away from the forum for a few years but now returned needing advice, my spikes gave up the ghost last year and I'm now needed new ones

Having had my first child over the winter cost Vs longevity is paramount

I've had Adidas SL22s for a while had had 2/3 pairs over the last 6 seasons

I'm toying with the idea of buying some cheaper runners and getting them spiked as trainers seem to last much longer than my spikes and are much more comfortable

What's out there for bespoke cricket spikes and where is there to get trainers spiked?

Don't mind spending assuming quality and they'll last

Nike Vapour lites spiked up will do you well.. Tennis shoes, so better support all round, available for £60 odd plus spiking, well recommended

AOB Custom Kicks do a great job. Top blokes too.

These are mine for the season:

They won’t spike your own trainer up. Only ones from their stock.
I bought a pair of those Adidas Trainer V for £50 and they are charging £120 for a spiked pair.
