I bought these the other day x2 pair as good as my adidas ones I think
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/men-s-quick-dry-cricket-trouser-ts-500-mm-white/_/R-p-329758?mc=8610994&c=WHITE (https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/men-s-quick-dry-cricket-trouser-ts-500-mm-white/_/R-p-329758?mc=8610994&c=WHITE)
I am going to get a pair of those too. I thought they looked decent when I found some in decathlon the other day.
-
Best trousers I own are the Neon ones I have - you need to stock them again. So much nicer than our club ones in GN and more recently Icon.

I can't quite see from the photos... are they more of a lightweight mesh compared to more traditional whites material?
-
No just regular whites quite nice soft and cleaned up well after use, just a nice cut and simple
-
I've not bought any new England kit for years, for me Adidas was still the best quality, their shirts were very well cut.

Aha thanks mate, it's in the works again finally - planning to have a few items of training wear/whites (same trousers you'll be pleased to hear!), and then a bigger off-field casualwear range. The off-field gear will be less aimed at activewear and more post-cricket beers in the pavilion attire!

Excellent news

In fact I have to say the decathlon whites are miles better than the adidas whites they have side mess panel wash well and are light and a good quality material.
I know a guy who 6,2 who says they’re quite short in the leg at Large!
-
Decathlon sizing is a bit mad. You usually have to order a size up. Your mate should have gone foe XL.
Separately I have some Masuri whites which are really nice and have a decent leg length for the taller gentleman.
-
I ordered 3 pairs of Phantom trousers in their sale as well as 2 hoodies. All great quality, but all 3 pairs of trousers are different in terms of weight and fit! (Whites, Navy and black)
My club kit is Surridge, which is getting expensive. The match shirt is £47 this year with 4 sponsors and a club logo.

£47.00. I’d expect to start on 20 each week for that price.
Fortunately our 1st team whites are covered by the club but even if they weren’t they are nearly half that price.
Surely having 4 sponsors should make it cheaper for players not more expensive?
-
We are subsidising shirts this year, although normally don’t. SS charge £4 per image on the shirt, so club logo & 4 sponsors adds £20. I think we will be looking elsewhere when this deal is up.
-
SS whites poor quality and heavy if you ask me out club use them I’m not a fan
-
They do multiple styles. Ours certainly aren’t heavy.
-
Can I see a picture of them yes I know Surridge well given they come from my hometown!
Not sold on any off there kit to be honest have them as out club sponsors too bought a pair of embroidered pants with the white panels and the elite vapour wick shirt not a fan. Tracksuit decent though but bobbles too quickly.
Make good cricket bags though the old wheelie they did was great
-
I miss the old Canterbury whites with coloured trouser pockets and the logo on the back of the ankle area.
-
These are the trousers i've been using last few seasons, hemmed leg, good fitment and don't bobble like some

Split this from the Eng kit discussion as it is separate but still useful.

Agree best trousers ever and still have a pair. My club uses GN club shop and very good although I prefer the matrix style over the pro performance whites just more comfy in my mind
-
Does anyone have the pro performance troussers? Are they worth it? Seem a little pricy.
-
GN? Only used their matrix, which I'm not a fan of. My current ones are Adidas, but Ive just ordered 2 pairs of the decathlon ones ^^ which look god.
-

I’ve used them for the past few years.
As with all the pro performance range they are much more of a modern tapered slim fit, material is good and more like a trackie bottom.

Anybody had or seen these look a bit excessive at the price

Looks a bit like Cricket Wear for Shoreditch Hipsters!! Reassuringly expensive.
-
I've got a couple pairs of somerset players trousers picked them up from the shop at the end of the season. Made by shrey comfiest trousers I've ever owned. Even managed to get a black pair over the winter. Not sure if they are available to everyday punters or what model they are

Still amazes me this even got launched, let alone that they haven't given up on it yet - when was the last time you saw someone buy a cricket shirt that wasn't through a club shop? (especially at 60 quid!!).

It's going that well they're trying to flog it as Golf/Tennis kit too...

An older clubmate uses them for training and says they are decent, very light.
For me the black trim is horrid
Few big names ‘endorsing’ them. I wonder how much that cost them. Like mentioned above the vast majority now wear club whites. How much of a market is there for a whites only start-up?
-
Agreed!
The coloured ones were great, very comfortable and even the fielding ones with the shiny sides we good too.
-
Bit of an odd request, but any suggestions on trousers with decent knee reinforcement
Been using Adidas Elite for last few years and currently got 3 pairs with ripped knees that have been repaired numerous times, but continue to rip pretty much every time I wear them.
Partly due to poor fielding technique, but just want to see if there are options?
-
I have a pair of adidas whites which are also ripped. Try the phantom whites - tech with air mesh but a slightly heavier material than the adidas ones. I’ve just bought a new pair and have high hopes..

They clearly spent a load on socials advertising as it popped up a lot when they launched. Bizarre to basically target the Slazenger/Sports Direct market but go in at a way higher price. Judging by most of the marketing materials I'm not sure anyone involved has played much cricket...

I managed to acquire free samples from Mettle; they used Howzat to carry out the embroidery/printing as there was a packing slip in the box when it arrived.
