Guys i bought my SS bat in January in INdia... i asked them to oil and knock it... but i am not completly satisfied with the preparation process they "did" in the shop..

My question iwe are almost in june and i bought the bat in january... is safe to remove scuff sheet, sand and re-oil to begin knocking it again ?

as always will love to her ur rsuggestions...

Done exactly that with much older bats and had no issues, as Buzz says absolutely nothing to worry about.

Should be absolutely fine. I have done it with some of my older bats.

I've more than often noticed this, the bats knocked/ prepared specially by machines are a job half done. And then they put scuff sheets on top and call it a day. I personally take it off, do one coat of light oli, leave it for 24+ hours, hammer it again, specially the edges, bone them on the bath tub or sink and then put a hammeredge on.
