Just seen on their instagram account that they’ll be unveiling their 2024 range at 10am tomorrow.
If apple and these tech firms have a conference to unveil phones why on earth do GN not host an event to tell us what Babar Azam will be using in the world cup!
-
Yeah good shout
Surely it would be much more engaging and Better for sales

It would be similar to apple launch to be fair.
Market an amazing new innovation but really it’s the same as last years with new stickers on
-
Gn going into launch mode throughout the day
Shockwave not that impressed so far
-
I like the GEM and the pink bat :)
-
ok.
the shockwave is the alpha
the gem is the gem
the tempesta is the hypernova
or as good as
-
Looks it
Doesn’t look like a great reveal so far
Not tempted by anything
-
I wonder how long will Harry Brook last with GN if his progression continues?
I can image TON/SS will be waiting in the wings with the $$
-
Im liking the green colourway on the shockwave. Better than the current green hypernova.

Is GM the other big uk brand which has long history , anyone else
Would prefer he stays with a uk brand
So many England players with SS now
-
Tempests colourway looks good with the gloves but that’s about it.
No obvious differences in that and the Hypernova. gem as before, shockwave we have seen before just more colour options
Be good to see a shorter blade bat in the Pope range as common knowledge he uses a shorter blade longer handle set up
Classic range staying as before it appears
It’s GN so will sell well and have great exposure on international scene but nothing really blows me away. I’ll stick with a Willow & Wand lol

Seems just lazy re packaging with new zany colours, who signs this mediocrity off ?
Am guessing it sells well to kids, but i see more Keeleys than GN in the Sussex League where i play, and they are generally double the price...in fact i can remember seeing only a couple of GN`s all season, bemusing!
-
I have not really seen anything impressive about the GN UK bat models lately. I love their softs but have stopped buying their bats. GN Australia on the other hand seems to churn out very nice bats.
-
Considering I play for the village that is home to GN, our kit is SS and everyone uses Keeley bats.

Not necessarily. I've never been a GN brand user, but been tempted every now and again, but a bit unfair calling them lazy. If they have models that work and sell, why tinker? Lots of brands that do small subtle changes year on year, and focus on what they do best. Maybe they sell enough bats as a big brand, they don't want to mess with the formula too much?
Interesting re Keeleys being more popular than GN, wonder if that is because they are locally made and people can go in and speak to the batmaker, whereas GN are off the shelf made in India.

I played cricket for 30 years or so and never had a GN. Didnt appeal to me. Light bats, sponsoring the safe captains etc
However, my son gets GN stuff at a considerable discount and I have been so impressed with their bats. We have/had 3 - powerbow, players, and hypernova. All of them are great. The powerbow and players off the charts.
Where they fall down is A) everything is at arms length re seeing them, although customer service is 10/10. Superb. and B) their neither 'cool' or 'classic' with their branding. Its a bit of a mass market appeal stuck on their traditional message. Not one thing or another.

....bit too scathing perhaps, particularly as they have just announced the return of THE don blade,Gold Powerspot !
All subjective i guess but can`t remember a design that`s stood out for many moons now,but if nos are good then hats off, what do i know

Purely for nostalgia that’s a bit of me and is certainly in with a chance of my 1 bat but per season to go into my non WW selection
-
Maybe I need to show off my purchases !
I love my GN have one of Rizwans Alex made a couple xxx Stu made a Pro performance which is mental and of course one of James Taylor’s.
I have been collecting them over the last few months topped off with a Shaun Marsh Replica. (Great profile) if you know what I mean.
Overall impressed with the Indian,English, and Aus made

Any sign of the the catalogue yet for the other bits in the range?
-
Will there be new duffle bags ?

Sure to trigger discussions in their 23/ 24 season.

Why?? Why take wood out of the middle where you want to hit the ball more often than not?

Brian Lara did fine with the Scoop in his 375. Weight distribution - there is still sufficient mass down there, and it will pick up very light I suspect
-
i'm sure the physics add up but i dont want to look down on my bat at the crease and see a massive chunk of wood taken out

Good video by VKS on the 2024 range - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP406sbbwHc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP406sbbwHc)

The GN classic range is the best offering from any of the established brands in my option. The gold powerspot looks a great addition to the range

Tempesta — seems to be the Vapour, Hypernova shape with new stickers?

I thought essentially a restickered Hypernova. Nice enough shape but not enough to inspire a purchase. Have found the GM bats a lot more attractive in recent years.
-
it does say that the Tempesta has a rounded 'powercurve' face rather than the hypernova;s flat face.
maybe they had a few too many reports of damage?
-
Thinking of gifting a new gray nicolls cricket bat to my friend for his birthday. His favourite player is Babar Azam.Out of interest is he using the tempesta or the shockwave as the shockwave is in green but website mentions hes using tempesta.
