Post by: hazant0803 on March 03, 2024, 02:58:31 AM
Hey everyone, coming back from a long injury with my knee started running a little bit now but was wondering whats the standard of fitness that everyone/team expects? just so pre season isnt too hard for me and i can be fit before it and get even fitter and what the end product should be. Thank you

Depends on the standard.

I find that if you can average over 40 with the bat or bowl well you can get away with alot.

Being able to run a bit is a sufficient level of fitness for most levels of amateur cricket.

It depends on the standard. But if you want a guideline then being able to bowl your full allocation of overs in 1 spell if you're a bowler. And when batting, being able to run 4 and face the next ball without passing out.

If you can light your ciggy in under 10 seconds, you'll get a game at my club.
