@thebigginge - part of your handiwork? :D
How many different "scooped" GN bats have there been over the years? And what are people's top 5 scooped bats of all time?
-
Not this edition of the scoop......
-
The Ultimate 'sex-stick' is the re-released Dynadrive of a couple of years ago.
Now that creates a proppa lazy-lob!!
-
any chance we will see another Dynadrive.............
-
My top 5 GN scooped bats are.....
1. Original Dynadrive from the 80s/90s - still my favourite shape and had one which had an unbelievable middle (hit my first six with one, so has a special place in my heart!)
2. Original Xiphos - had an amazing Extreme model which felt sooo light for its weight and again amazing middle
3. Phoenix - prob influenced by Matty Hayden in his pomp (unfortunately usually prolific in the Ashes!)
4. 2022/3 Megapower reissue - felt it went better than the original megapower from the 80s/90s or its successor, the Sabre, and liked the square toe.
5. A leftfield choice, not quite sure if it is a true "scoop", but Megadrive from the early 2000s with its many linear ridges over the back - again had an amazing powerblade but I know a lot of people didn't get on with it.
From the non-GN scooped bats.....
1. Original Kookaburra Ridgeback from the 90s/2000s (that resembles the Dynadrive)
2. Kookaburra Ridgeback 2024 reissue (UK model that resembles the Dynadrive)
3. Slazenger V800 (original one, from the 90s, with the two eyes on the back)
4. Puma Evolution from 2000s
5. Another leftfield choice (never had one but always wanted one as a bit unique shaped) - Stuart Surridge Turbo TBS (Total Balance System) bat

The Sabre was one of my all time favourite GN's, would love a re release of that

Think there was a re-release of the Sabre a couple of years ago, maybe for a different market (Aus or Ind?), with silvered out twin mini-scoops?
-
Not this edition of the scoop......
Are you able to confirm if Indian made or maybe Australian?

The limited 50th anniversary Scoop edition is now available to buy online from today at £749.99 in the UK.......

Not this edition of the scoop......
Only just seen this coded message.
Obviously as the most recent poster has indicated, it is now available to purchase. However, is this message suggesting there is another edition to come out that isn’t so limited and we could see this as a 2025 launch I wonder…

Good call, hopefully that is the case as £750 for a bat no matter how iconic is daft and out of reach for most people, especially as the description of the bat doesn’t even mention the grade.
-
750 sheets for a bat with a bit missing :o :D
-
I wouldn't have thought any CBF member would be interested, seen as it definitely won't fill the gauge! 😆

There definitely will be takers for the "Limited Edition" bats for sure but what is so different to this compared to the Aussie versions which is being sold for AUD 975/- (appr. 35% less) and AUD 675/- except they are not "Limited" Edition!!!!
Was looking at the Scoop ad on the GN UK site and could not figure if this part is a good ad or bad ad for the Scoop. It seems that they could not find anything good to write about the traditional single Scoop bat after 1984.
