I've always loves my GM Noir, and despite dabbling with other bats over the last couple of years, nothing has really made me feel as comfortable at the crease as I am with a GM. Probably all in my head of course, but I'll convince myself it's because I love the way GMs are pressed. The ball certainly feels like it shifts more off the middle of my Noir than anything else I've used before or since.
Spotted a few deals on 606 and Signature grades around recently, so picked up this Kryos Signature from Cricket Hockey over the weekend. 2:10.4, full width, no concaving and lovely bit of heartwood too. Plus there are 18 grains for those of us who are excited by such things. Really happy with this, and for me this is an absolute steal at £135.

Looks a lovely stick, I've definitely been impressed with the GMs I've had in recent years bar a very ropey Diamond Signature that had an awful handle.
-
Bat looks great!
GMs are excellent value.
-
Best shape in the GM range and like you before having my own brand and making my own used GM for years and they are fantastic but do take a little while to really open up but once they do they are superb. Also best handles around bar none
-
Yeah, the shape is really nice. The middle being slightly higher isn't going to make a jot of difference to me in terms of value for my shots, but that plus the shorter blade does make it pick up really nicely. Definitely feels lighter than my Noir at 2.9.5.
Really like the thickness of GM handles too. Bought a NB Heritage at the start of the season and it's like holding a strand of spaghetti.

GM really hate heartwood don't they?
-
Clearly! I've always liked the 2 tone tbh.
-
Good argument that GM Signatures are the best value bats in the entire UK market. Just bought a lightweight Hypa Sig for a friend and it's phenomenal.
-
Definitely, and even more so at the moment. Looking forward to having a little net with mine tonight.
-
Have to say the prices for some of the Signatures are very tempting, especially when the 606 Aion I have is so good.

Hey All
This bat has caught my eye: Aion signature for £210. It seems too good to be true for a uk made G1 EW. Whats the catch? The 909 should be even better than that signature/707 OP has posted but we know this isnt always how it works.

Well, from a quick net last night the Kryos Sig feels great. Every bit as pleased with this as I am my Noir 808 from 2021. If you've got £210 burning a hole in your pocket and like the Aion then go for it. If it's anything like my own experience you'll end up with a cracking bat.
Think Cricket Hockey had some Hypa Signatures at about £150 too.

Signatures are G2. Still excellent value and fantastic bats but they are not G1. There's your catch.

Link takes me to the 909 at 237 quid? Showing The Aion Sig at £149.

The 909 won't necessarily be 'better' than a signature. It may look slightly better aesthetically, but won't necessarily perform any better.

Just a reminder the Aion is a narrow blade, that may not bother some buy they are about 104-105mm width and to me very noticeably so if your a regular GM user
