Title: Batting Glove leather palm cleaner/restorer
Post by: gihanrat on August 08, 2024, 11:44:56 AM
I have a favourite pair of leather palmed Puma gloves which have lasted me a long time (prob a reflection on my batting prowess more than anything else  :D ), but the leather palms although not worn, have seen better days with sweat/dirt/grass stains(?!?) etc.

Are there any recommendations to get the leather clean and conditioned to get them soft again? (currently like a 5-day old baguette left in the open!), as I feel these gloves will prob last me another few seasons in terms of wear.

Anyone had success cleaning and revitalising leather palms of batting gloves without getting them to be too slippery afterwards?

I had some success many years ago with some stuff meant for leather horse saddles. Downside was that it totally changed the colour of the palms of my gloves.

Interesting....did it manage to get stains/marks out of the leather, and condition it?

Horsemans one step

Can it be used on both calf leather palms as well as pittards leather palms?
