Title: Girls Junior Bats
Post by: Leddster138 on September 12, 2024, 07:52:36 PM
My daughter is taking up hardball cricket in the Winter and will need a new bat. I'm not sure I'd want her with a bat that's too hard and covered in polycarb but equally she won't need a multi grain grade 1.

Has anyone had any good experiences with buying a junior bat this year? ANy brands doing it well? She'll need a size 3 but I assume weights are a bit pot luck.

GM would be my shout for retail junior bats, few of our kids use them and they're notably superior to the GNs I've seen among the juniors.

^ Second that.

GMs are great stock bats. They've done the hard work of specs and cleft selection for every budget and you get great value at every level.

Good value for money with GM on the junior range, also stock H4L across junior sizes that are similar on price point.

I can make you up something to suit your needs. I’ve made quite a few junior bats for forum members

John did a lovely bat for one of our young lads, plenty punch to it but plenty light for him as he's quite wee.

Thanks everyone, for the advice.

I've reached out to John and I'll take a look at the GM ranges.

Gm do a 'Lite' range in size 3 & 4. Usually 2 oz lighter than standard weight
