Basically as the topic states, I have done it twice.
1. Brian Lara 501- My first proper bat, got it when i was 12, went like an absolute train. Got a woodworm when they came out because they were all the rage, found out a year later my mum took the lara bat to the dump the day i got the woodworm....
2. RBK Dhoni 183- Got one of these off a team mate 3 years ago, was an absolute beast. Split a tiny bit in the toe, all my mates convinced me it was fooked, so i sold it for a tenner. The guy I sold it to let me use it a year later and it was pretty much fine, he had it repaired by M&H. Still lose sleep about it now! :P
Still wouldnt mind getting a dhoni 183 if anyones got one knocking around, was a really really nice bat!!

I have been lucky and haven't as of yet (touch wood!) but dread the day i do! I may just not sell any of mine to make sure it doesnt happen :P
-
I broke my Gray Nichols Viper only to get it replaced by a crapper bat :/
-
Sold a RNS Larsons to Dan Griffen, lost sleep ever since as I never found it's equal as I thought I would.....
-
i'm gonna make sure i never ever sell my millichamp custom, too much sentimental value.... first league 50, first ton, 32 from an over!!
-
1) My M&H solution/original. Was made for a pro, got it for £100. Best pinging bat I ever owned. Should of got weight taken off rather than sold it.
2) My blade strike. Hit my first 50 with it. Including 9 fours and 1 huge 6 into a graveyard! Just had it refurbed by craig and used it in a couple of matches on tour and was loving it. Got a great bat off craig though so sold it.

My first bat (high score of 9 ;)) a GM Purist 606 was very nice, 14 grains and the face came off the bat :/

Would love to see pics of it mate!

Probably the bat I really regret getting rid of was my first ever kookaburra kahuna warrior. Had the fibreglass backing and weighed around 2lb 10oz. Split in the toe, and sent it back to kookaburra, they sent a replacement out which was shocking and sold it for £40 used twice! I should have kept it, but I had never even considered repairing bats!

I regret buying a bat :(
-
only time i regret giving a bat away was when i gave one for nothing
it was a wasp and after a tour of Australia i just got a new screaming cat so even thought it was a gun i was just struck by the scat.
earlier in the season jermaine lawson offered me good money for it.
oh well
to be honest i give away more of my kit than i sell
-
Had plain net bat which was 2lbs 7. Everyone rejected it at first sight and after one month of nets ( one month for me to use the same bat in nets is a milestone), the bat was opening up and i was really enjoying it when sold it to a mate. It was a tinyish bat (from Pakistani standards) but was an absolute bazooka. would have made a great match bat but wasn't to be.

it's funny how we do it i go through maybe 10-15 bats a season without relay trying them only my Laver has ever remained.
why do we do it???
-
ss ton elite bought for £180 sold for £70
-
had an dukes ton back in my lower order slogging days sold it on as was a little heavy but was a gun plus bloke i sold it too scored 800 runs at avg of 60 with it really gutted when i heard that but hey life goes on
-
blade strike with 9 grains sold it to aiy who sold it on if anyone has it out there let me know i want it ! scored my first 3 fifties with it and the quickest club t20 fifty including most 6s

I took the advice of a professional that my GN megadrive was beyond repair, it had a bit chipped out of the side. Could have been glued back in and taped easily. It gets me annoyed every time.
-
Sold a Newbery GT SPS to Aidy as it was broken and in a terrible state. Then he got it fixed by Newbery and sold it for loads! It was a beautiful bat, first 50 with it, I wish I had kept it in retrospect!
-
Malik sher I sold my mate. Was the size of a house and as light as a feather - what a muppet I am!! :(
-
every time(basically every day) i sell a bat :D
-
You should stop selling class bats then Asad!
-
my 1st T20 bat, ugly looking willow thing but went like an absolute train!
-
Our Aussie pro sold me a top of the range Kahuna in 2004,it had 12 straight grains,no blemishes or heartwood, huge edges for 2lbs 9oz and was a gun. Got stolen after a game and the club were generous to let me claim on the insurance...bought a Graham Thorpe Bubble that was awful and sold that for peanuts. Ahh my beautiful Kahuna......

think im gonna regret selling my catalyst, i will be listing it soon so keep an eye out!
