Good evening bat lovers!
I thought I would post a review of the bat I got today. Have been doing a bit of work recently for CJI and he gave me a deal on this bat I couldn't refuse! It was lovely being able to pick through over 100 of these bats to find the ideal one for me... and lets just say, I am more than happy with the bat I chose!
Grains: 25 (yes, 25!)
Weight: 3lb 3oz (but picks up around 3lb)
Edge size: 54mm
Concaving: Yes
The ping on this bat is by far one of the best I have felt. Had a few mates round earlier how had a smack with the mallet and they were amazed at the ping. Although one of mates struggled to lift it, but for me, this bat is perfect. Ideal for my strokemaking (slogging) game play! The stickers in my opinion look alot better than the 2009 model, and with the added chrome in the sunlight, it looks a brilliant bat.

looks lush 15 to many grains for me but love the stickers
-
WOW! Do you know who makes these bats?
-
Id guess SS? 54 mm is incredible!
-
Craig, how many CJI's have you had lately? And then you seem to be struggling to find a bat match, what do you do with them!
-
ha cji are good arent they craig
-
I though English Willow Nurtured in India was a fancy name for Kashmir?
The stickers do look much more memorable than the '09 ones.
-
The new stickers look alot better and that bat is a beast!
-
Nice bat... although you'll be selling it next month to pay for car insurance surely!

Bully, I havent actually had any CJI bats this year. Had a couple that I was given, but this is the first new one I have had in a while. It was nice to choose this bat from over 100 Fatso LE's!
Carn, yes very nice bats mate, one of these Fatso's I had a look at had 31 grains without an blemishes! This one has 25 grins with no blemishes, but the 31 grainer was a tad heavier. Some of the Ultimate 1000's are lovely, one of the 2lb 7oz grade 1 bats almost came home with me last week from the shop as well!
Leo, how well you know me, but I have 2 seperate bat piles, the for sale/refurbishment pile and not for sale pile. This is in the not for sale pile along with the bat I am expecting from Asad this week.
-
Nice, that is my kind of bat. You could probably bat with the edge exclusively!
-
craig have you got a bas by any chance of the grain myster
-
But it is Kashmir isn't it Hitty? No problem with that, but just wanted to confirm.
-
I know what you mean, I will probably be using the edge more than the middle if this season is anything like last year, so I could well be worth knocking in the edges as well! haha.
And no, I brought a MB on Asad, was looking for a mid range value for money bat so I chose the Tiger. Good looking grains, grade 2 English Willow and huge for the weight. I will be posting a review on that bat once it arrives aswell.
-
Yeah its Kashmir Fatty, but my god it doesnt ping like it!
-

How much did you pay for it? If you don't mind sharing.
-
The bat off Asad is a grade 2 english willow MB Tiger. I dont have any BAS, but I have an SS bat if your interested (PM me if your interested) and I cant really say how cheap, but I got it considerably cheaper than the sale price in the shop.
-
