Anyone going to any games? I'll be going to Somerset vs. Derbyshire next monday as I have the day off. Cricket season is officially upon us!
-
Probably won't see any county games :( If I use my study leave properly I may be able to wangle a game

the game next thursday is being played at bath. there is a 2 day game starting on the monday after next, and a one day game the next day (wednesday) at tauntown...
-
Trust me, if the weather is like here in Yeovil, they ain't playing
-
yeah i think bath will struggle to get their ground ready after the recent weather! i doubt they have top class covers and i bet their groundsman is losing sleep at night!!
-
If anyone has the money to prep a wicket it is Bath.
-
that is true mike.... played there in a youth game a few years back, lush ground. but then all the grounds in and around bath which ive played at are nice, lansdown, midsomer norton....
-
Where's the bath pitch is it just down the road from the hospital? Don't think iv been there and got to meet up with a lad in April who wants a lid Ireland player or something who's on pre-season tour
-
its pretty close to the rugby ground i think. pretty close to the town centre.... google maps will tell you :D
-
Opposite the pavilion, just down from the river. I hit a straight six over the road there in a cup game, played for Midsomer Norton and it was a top track too.
-
went to a few somerset games now. saw about 20 overs of the derbyshire game at taunton, about 30 overs of the glamorgan game at taunton and also popped in to see some of the game against cardiff uni at taunton vale today, where i casually parked into a space between Craig Kieswetters Range Rover and Marcus Trescothick's Beamer!

Just the 14 in the match for Finn...
-
Blinded by his awesomeness.
England call up to tests this summer?
-
If he continues, he'll be a shoe in...
-
Add some variation.
Broad, Anderson, Onions, Finn, Bresnan........

You say that with sarcasm, but i'd rather that attack than one with ryan sidebottom in! anyways, who else is there around that offers something different in the seam attack? there's also james harris, chris woakes, and a few others around who are decent bets for the future england side... but they're all right armers!
-
No sarcasm meant there mate. Just off the top of my head naming a few England seamers who I think are best placed for the test team.

haha fair play, just assumed that you were saying they were all right-arm swing bowlers! no offence intended ;)
-
Nah none taken :)
I think we lack someone like Hoggard who could swing the ball miles. Harmison still worth a run?

No, never, not a chance
