Hi guys.
I'm thinking of buying a pair (?) of P2 Strippers. What do you guys think of them? Good/bad experiences?
Do you think it would be a safe bet to buy online, or should I try them on in a shop (The nearest aero stockist is VKS, 1 hr away almost)?
Wanting opinions from anyone who's used/tried them on, thanks.

As long as your measurements are accurate shouldn't see a issue with buying online. As for the strippers good product not as comfy as the custom thigh pads available but a decent alternative and cheaper.
-
don't get the p2 ones swanni get the pm 1 ones
for the sake of a tenner the p1s fit much better and with my experience with the p2 they ain't as comfy ans don't have as much padding
-
Thanks. Are you referring to the Remfry custom ones? aren't they very very pricy?
-
You can also can Aces Feet in Motion custom made for £85
-
Tom, thanks mate. Didn't know that, maybe I will et them if money allows!
Roco, £85 mate!!! more than double my budget!
-
the remfry ones after custom charges etc will come to around £140 - £150 pounds mark
alot of money for set of protection
-
Definitely! I'm sure the strippers should be ok, just making sure. Would a conventional thing pad be as good, or not?
-
The ACE ones are what I was referring to, but Remfry are custom aswell as mentioned £85 for the ACE and over a ton for the Remfry, but they do last years so the initial outlay is justified, you would probably get through a couple of sets of strippers compared to one set of Remfry, so works out cheaper in the long run.
-
personally i think the strippers are better than a normal thigh pad
but thats just my opinion
-
there is a reasonable amount on thigh pads here... http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=4404.0
strippers are good - but there are a few other options worth thinging about. I prefer the traditional thighpad set, as they are not so bulky
the hawk ones come in different sizes so may be a good sort of custom option and at £38 posted are better protection than the P2's and comein your budget.
-
Depends what standard you play. If you're playing a very high level then ACE or remfry are probably worth it. Ive had both P1 and P2 and there isnt really much difference to be honest. Not a great lover of them as there is too much material and they dont sit very well on me. May sell my P1's cheap but they have had a fair amount of use.

NO THEY WILL NOT
£130 at most there will be no custom charges as he always say there gifts
-
alright ok . its just that my mate bought a set and it cost him £142.79 so just saying what experience i no of them
-
Ref
a.c.e feet in motion
very good thigh pad but slightly too heavy compared to remfry.
and yes i have had both in the last 2 months.
and i think know i told steve has now the option of paypal bringing Remfry down to about £107 posted
-
I agree the ACE ones are pretty heavy but still prefer them over the strippers.
-
in my opinon there are 5 options on thigh pads
1.Remfry...without doubt the lightest and best made, although you do pay for it.
2.A.C.E.....Similar to Remfry apart from there much heavier but still very good.
3. Buchanan's..The cheaper version but good protection very heavy compared to remfry but good protection.
4.Strippers.....Not my liking but many peoples bulky and quite heavy but new design is bringing the set up a level.
5.Various........Cheap,poor shapes poorly designed, the odd one are very good though especilly some of the Remfry copies.
-
very good information there procricket that will come in useful
-
thing is i tried them all in about a 2 month period mate just settled to my Remfry now expensive but will last 10 years plus hopefully so money well spent as i know strippers do not last half that time
-
I think the hawk ones are almost as good as the ace ones and better than the strippers, they are pretty light too. obviously my view though!
