the pads are similar in spec to ponting kahuna but a lot cheaper in price.
-
the pads and batting gloves look good, nothing spectacular but nice non the less. however got to disagree with you about the keeping gloves. look dreadful, look like they've been designed in about 30 seconds
-
the picture of the 175 is not great but trust me they are top quality in terms of materiel used and design
intresting you say this slogs there similar to a pair that retail at around 80 pounds elsewhere
-
i know he worked hard with quite a number of first class players to get the soft just right this season
-
im sure they are top quality, just look dreadful, the 167's inparticular
-
Thanks for doing that Pete.
Softs look good, nothing particularly exciting or new though. They are much better than last years efforts but i would say it is bringing them close to the rest of the markets level.
We should do a walkthrough on the website to show people how to post pictures easily.....perhaps when i get some spare time later tonight or tomorrow i will have a go.
-
bringing them close does not come close to it i have seen similar type pads before like my bas ones and there up there near the top and i have seen some on here priced sky high in terms of value and quality these are hard to beat in my opinion and as you know i quite like my softs.
to go along with Chase bats which as i have previously stated are as good as any i have used including Laver,Millichamp,Salix,Newberys.
i think now Chase have a complete package with there softs.
-
What makes them better than others then? Apart from the reasonable price (softs)
-
I think here we need to give credit to Dan(Chase) who has improved the quality of Chase's softs. I have seen these personally and they are much better than the previous years Pads/Gloves.
Regards
Asad

No one is saying they are poor, everyone has commented how they are considerably better than last years pads and gloves - so credit to Dan for this. I was just wondering whethere they had done anything different in terms of design, materials etc or whether they are good because of the low price????

there not that cheap Dom as you know Chase are not a cheap cricket equipment place but a place for quality and excellence on par with any leading batmakers and equipment available.
It is interesting though as he has built his brand up and still offers competitive prices instead of some novice's who charge's the world and nobody has ever heard of them and some of the quality is questionable.
and regards price you will see there not to bad there not the cheapest but for the quality there up there with the best.
i agree about last season the pads were not up my street glad he has addressed that this season.
and one last question dom do you know what he is charging?????
