Think they would be great for fielding, like Gibbs' yesterday, not very practical for much else though . .

more a fashoin trainer than anything for sporting use and not going to have support in the correct areas for your foot when it comes to running, twisting or turning etc...If I was going down the route of buying trainers to spike would look at Asics, Mizuno or a specialist running shoe brand.

Brian and Brenda do spiking I believe and is about £30?? Dont quote me on that tho!

They'd be ok for bowling providing your not a quicky I suppose... wouldn't fancy facing 75mph+ yorkers in them though.....

Not going to do your ankles many favours though as they are meant for wearing with a pair of jeans not when running about!

Id hate to bump into our groundman if u had a pair of Gibbs footy boots on his outfield......would need some running shoes then to put some distance between him and me then for sure!

I think those trainers are actual track running shoes or a hybrid indoor/sprint trainer so support should be ok for a tweaker/batsman would go for it myself would look the business!

Get some running spikes, long distance ones hair a reasonable amount of support. Great for batting!

Yeah I dont think they are sprint trainers just a design using that template if you get what I mean? If you look at the info on the right it says for elite/professional on an astro/atrificial surface which suggests they should be fairly robust . . .could be wrong though!

Which I am as it says on the other trainers that are suitable for all off field activities and ideal for any dress code! :D

Yeah any trainers available in brown leather arent going to be athletic type shoes!!! You can tell that just from the style of sole and lack of materials in the key areas where your feet pound the ground etc....my degree does come into use at time :)

I find most fashion shoes are very flimsy while just walking so would not be suitable for cricket unless they have some sort of cushioning in the heel.

well buying shoes that are designed for purpose is obviously the brightest idea as they designers will have put the protection and materials in the correct places

I see very good running trainers at factory shops for £35 so just for them rather than fashion trainers.

bowlers are now recommneded to be wearing tennis shoes, apparnlty they offer much better support than most cricket shoes, thats from the middlesex physio

You want be disapointed with the ozzy asics, i used spiked asics for years due to reduced weight, however the new ozzy spikes are super light.
