Saw one of these today in my local shop. massive profile, nice grains, but one problem was the cutaway at the back? It was like a gray-nic t20 bat. but not as big or as flat. what is the purpose to this? will try and find some pics on the net.

I saw this at Taunton looked weird and if a reneged was on one of the lower grade bats

I get the idea of that; it'll make the pick-up much lighter however, does it not make the toe much more likely to break?

I picked one up at VKS, was shocked by the shape. Felt horrible to me
