Whilst my sickly finances exclude me from making an offer - it would make my evening to see these beauties - they sound like they should be absolute belters.

Did i see customdan has forked out the dough for one of these beauties???
Lucky man if he did - these types of grains are so much more impressive when you see them in the flesh. Bargain for that price.....who's going to be the lucky sod who gets the last one?

Man alive - those are some sexy looking bits of willow.  I am currently up to 4 bats though, so need to resist the temptation!  This forum is very bad for one's exchequer!

Agreed! I'd probably end up buying 2-3 bats a week if I had unlimited funds!!

Not a fan of that type of bat with that amount of heartwood, not that very long ago bat makers wouldn't make top end bats out of this type of willow and would down grade them considerably. How times have changed although my opinions have not so i wouldn't buy any bat of this type from any maker but others tend to love them but im not sure if they have used them before.

I agree that it's funny how heartwood has changed from being a marked down willow to not being. Wonder how much of that is down to certain pro's using a lot of heartwood bats such as Ponting.

I have a bat that is very much heartwood and it's certainly the best performing bat I have had albeit possibly a shorter life, so I would certainly consider a heartwood bat for my next stick.
