A request on behalf of a friend, he was quite small hands so is interested in some junior wicket keeping gloves.
Some of you who have read this year's Good Gear Guid might be able to help with this one, so any repsonses would be more than welcome!
Apparently the Puma Evolution 4000s or GN Xiphos are two of the better models out there.
Can anybody shed any light on this?

don't get youth gloves no matter what size hands you have, get a chunky pair of inners and get some mens gloves, you should always use the size bigger!
-
yup i agree with dan get kook mens gloves as they are small and just get some decent inners.
-
i would suggest getting mens gloves due to the fact that his hands will still be growing this will enable him to keep the same pair of gloves for much longer and in the long term increase the suppleness, also would agree with Dan re kookaburra

He's a man for the record :p
Just with small hands.

alot of brands dont have the same protection in youth model gloves asthe adult version so if he can get away with Small mens gloves he maybe better off that way.
Had a customer with small hands buy some off of us and has asked for a 2nd pair as we use the same materials in youth as adult gloves as this problem pops up every now and then which was why we offered Yth, S, M, L and XL sizes so it caters for a larger size range in gloves.

yer, all kook sizes are one size smaller then puma or gn.
eg.. boys kooka = small boys puma.

i think you mean boys kook = small mens puma :)

If you have youth sized hands and want to use padded inners to make mens gloves fit...do you use youth or mens inners?
-
Puma gloves I have found to be brilliant. Also use the trick of putting keeping inbred on, then fingerless batting inners on top of them for extra palm protection
