Title: Premium Member Scheme 2010
Post by: Howzat on April 04, 2010, 08:07:46 PM
How Much Does It cost?
The Premium Member scheme costs £15 for a one year subscription. Thats £1.25 per month. From the day you subscribe your membership will last 365 days.

What do I get?
Each premium member will be given their starter pack consisting of:
1 x Grip (Of your choice, dependant on avaliability)
1 x Quality Anti-scuff
1 x Quality Bat tape
1 x Custom Bats bat sticker

Although the main benefit of becoming a Premium Member is the discounts from various manufacturers... we have negotiated many offers exclusive to Premium Members from companies such as Uzi Sports, SAF and Mongoose.
A full list of offers will be published in around a weeks time.

Oh and did I mention exclusive premium member competitions? We already have a guaranteed competition to win a top quality grade one cricket bat!

Ill be doing it, I think the grip, scuff sheet and bat tape would cost me nearly as much anyway!

Mongoose offer is free knocking in which they usually charge £25 for.
SAF offer £10 off each bat I think - ill have to check that one tho cant remember it really.
Ayrtek offer free ti grill with every helmet ordered or 20% off all soft goods
Cant remember the rest

Perhaps he doesnt need to offer a discount after his sucess in the AOC review if orders are coming in at full price......as relatively small brands we have offered the deals to give something back to people opting to become Premium forum members.

We ourselves are having to pay each month to sponsor the forum and are still willing to give a discount whilst paying for doing so at the same time........perhaps you may look on the deals more favourably in light of this?

It isn't about the review or thinking I'm to good for you guys. The bat and willow choice are there to be used by and selected by anyone who wishes to own one.  The same bit of willow could be used by recreational cricketer or a 1st class player I don't differentiate between them.

I'm snowed under and have a waiting list at the moment, when it all calms down a bit there will be offers but in the short term not via the premium membership scheme.

I am still dealing with this, you will have to ask individual companies if they are still honouring the specific deals or whether they have changed. I know Ayrtek still honours the ti grill one.

You also get:
1x antiscuff
1x bat tape
1x grip
1x custombats sticker

So really good deal imo

Is this offer open to non-UK residents?

I'm interested too. Open to us Aussies?

Cheers.

I'll find out, I would imagine it is, but you may have to pay the postage charges to get the "premium member pack" over there.

I would like to become a premium member. I spend most of my life on here so may as well pay for it!

What do you get for joining again, has the offer changed?

You get a number of offers from a few small brands. There is a list of them somewhere but I remember one of them was a Free Ti grill with every top of the range Ayrtek purchased. (Offers subject to change)

You also get the "Member Pack"...
1 x Grip
1 x Scuff Sheet
1 x CustomBATS sticker
1 x Bat Tape

Payments can be made to Pay@custombats.co.uk via paypal
Please leave your address and also state preferred grip colour
We would probably be better posting stuff out after xmas now though otherwise knowing Royal Mail there is a strong possibility they will get lost!

I was going to suggest that anyway Leo, I'm nearly snowed in as it is and Royal Mail have done sod all for 3 days, will send you a PM after Christmas and get it done then.

Cheers

Worth paying the fee + postage for the Ayrtek deal alone if it's still valid. Looking forward to finding out. Cheers Leo.
