Just brought the broken BAS and the MB Tiger at 2.10. £48 posted for both bats! Brilliant

the newbery looked a belter, still might be. I just wouldn't want the risk it by the looks of that large crack. Still not bad at 39.99

Someone has snapped up the bargain newbery! I was almost going to check the bank balance to see if I could afford it, but someone has beaten me to it!
Title: Re: new bats on the uzi website
Post by: SillyShilly on April 05, 2010, 09:01:15 PM
it  may be a bargain at £40 - but rehandling is going to set you back £25 - so £65 for a newbery with a huge crack going down the back already seems quite expensive to me.

Tis the beauty of the bargain bin - you might get a cracker that lasts you a season or two or it might snap in half first time it's used.

Let us know how you get on with the bats :)

Well the MB Tiger for £20 is a steal. Its been repaired by MB so even if I sell it for £30 at my club, I will be happy.

The BAS is 2lb 14oz and needs repairing, but I will be doing a weight reduction and repair on that, and again, for £20, its a bargain!

I just saw the profile and thought YUM!
And rehandle is minor!

Just taking a risk on the crack really! But for the profile, it's got to be worth a gamble!  ;)

yes it does shilly i have a few contacts and can do the odd ones for mates.

the reason i posted this is i asked asad about a few bats as some of my new club new playing memebers were after cheap bats and i saw the lot yesterday and i think it is a good idea some of them bats are top quality.

my bas shadow le has been proffesionally fixed and will be my match bat for the season and i for one could not fault a top grade bat for 39.99.

top stuff asad and thank you for great service and top information

it nice to see somebody putting something back in to cricket and these are all good bargains

Pro means it was made for a professional player by Newbery.
Any way bat has already been sold

I ended it fella - I had a 0 bidder who then retracted.
Then had another 0 bidder (tendulkar1993) who probably bid a couple of hundred or more, who then would have kindly retracted the bid or just disappeared!!
So I decided to end it and will relist it at the weekend...  >:(

But anything I relist now will not allow 0 bidders or bidders without card registered with less than 5 feedback!!
Title: Re: new bats on the uzi website

fair enough, i was just going on standard prices  most companies quote - i get the feeling that re-handling is just a pain in the ass for them to do hence the highish price quoted by most people.
Anyway - lots of nice looking bats asad, i know they'll be plenty of happy customers, it's nice to see some clear photos of the damage and the chance to purchase these bats - good work.

Just wanted to let people know clearly what they are buying and where the damage is.
Some of the items are newish in that section.  The plain BAS bat is one of the bats which I have seen being used to hit big sixes.

Thats exactly why it's awesome, and at £40 even if it goes like a train for a season then breaks it's still a deal.

well got to tell you not just are the clearance section seriously good bargain the main bats are as well i paid 124 pound for a blank ss grade 1 and considering people on here are buying bats for 250-300 pound it seems a bit daft realy.

the blank ss grade 1 i got is better than my laver private bin that why that has been put out to graze

Haven't had opportunity to try too many as have been using the Redback in the nets alot.
But on first impressions, the newer G&M bats feel very good indeed! And the Puma Iridium 6000GTR feels good too!

I have to admit that I have been more impressed with the SS bats than almost any others!
The likes of Redback, Black Cat and others have been awesome...........as was expected anyway!!  :D

But maybe I have been most impressed by the SS bats, as I only expected them to be average quality bats!
But they have (so far) been blooming excellent! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
And if this plain BAS is as good, then that will be another very pleasant surprise!!  :D

Purchased a couple from Yash and can't fault them. Havent used them in anger yet....but really lush bats!!

It is true that i only deal with Companies who let me hand pick the bats. We are now working as an official supplier of SS under Incredible Cricket Company. When u come you'll see my bats. I played cricket for 11 years and now dedicated to supply the best cricket equipment i can to players.
Spent days in subcontinent factories getting my bats made there.

Kind Regards
