He there
After coating my bat in salix bat wax aon saturday i began to knock in today however it seems to offleft marks were its bassically taken off the wax if you understand
Its hard to explain but it bassically shows every mallet or ball hit on it
if i oiled it would this stop this from happening

what you do is get a soft cloth and rub it really hard like your buffing it! should go away after that pal! gives a very nice finish too!

should have done it the other way round, or maybe it hasn't been polished enough

the wax leaves a slight residue on the face. when you knock in with the mallet it takes off some of this residue...absolutely no harm done and if your after a perfect, even sheen to the bat then simply, as mentioned already rub it with a cloth.

Its a bit difficult to work out why this is happening, the wax should dry pretty quickly and can even be used straight away. Some bats when knocking in always show slight marks where the mallet is hitting the face and its nothing to worry about but give it a light sand and stick a anti scuff on it.
