Title: My Custom Mongoose MMi3 - Harrow***With Pictures
Post by: Ashvir on April 09, 2010, 08:25:03 PM
Specs

- 9 Grains
- Heartwood on on a Right-Handers outside ege
- 3cm Edges
- Slight Bow in the Blade
- Light Bat
- Big Toe
- Non-bottom heavy

Mongoose Customer Service

The customer service was great, with either Tom or Marcus answering my questions on the phone and Tom replying to my emails instantly. I requested for the above specs and got them all! Delivery was via 24hr FedEx straight from  the factory. The factory provided me with a tracking number so I could track the parcel

The Finish on the Bat

The finish on the bat is 1st Class. Stickers look amazing, the grip is fitted perfectly on the handle, and the face is sanded perfectly.

Playability

After knocking it in, this bat is 1 big sweetspot as advertised. The ping is better than my BAS King-Hitter and SS Yuvi 20/20. The pick up is like my older bats and the bat speed is considerably faster than my other bats.

Would I recommend Mongoose?

100% Yes. Great customer service, great products and friendly staff.

sounds good ash - i would expect nothing less from the mongoose boys. Interested to see you specifically requested heartwood on the outside edge - strange request in my opinion but each to their own.
Im suprised that there is a noticeable 'bat speed' difference in the COR3, this is something normally mentioned with the MMI3 - must be a very good bat then, hope it scores you plenty of runs this season :)

My bat is a MMi3. I requested heartwood on the outside edge, for cosmetic reasons. I like the look of it.

Would have to say my friend isn't too please with the customer service having ordered his bat it hadn't been posted a week later. I tried explaining to him that they would be busy with orders so he is a little more relaxed but I'm looking forward to seeing it :D

What's your friends name? I can email him to allay any fears, we are selling a up to 100 bats a day at the moment though so there is a slight waiting list on the bats.

Looking at extra manufacturing facilities to try and speed up the process.

The mongoose looks really strange Ash! How large is the blade? I can see why some people dubbed it "A brick on a stick!"...
