Title: Pro keeper's
Post by: stevie on August 27, 2008, 03:23:15 PM
Do pro keeper's get their gloves custom made and if they do, do they tell their sponsor's their requirements or do they send them to a specialist glove maker?

Think about it... You can't really "sticker up" keeping gloves like you can bats, so they'd need to go the the sponsor.

I have heard stories of companies sending the components for keeping gloves to guys like Plimmer for him to make them. But most keepers will use their supplied gloves.

Not nessaceraly mate, the sponsors could just easily just send the custom maker the material that they would have been anyway and he could make them like that. Sorry for my dreadful spelling of the word after not haha!

Matt prior gets Geoiff Wymer to make his gloves but use the same style as slzenger gloves. If you pay careful attention to matt priors gloves, you will notice that the slazenger logo is only on the back of the padded wrist area, and not on the finger of ther cup, as illustrated oin the slazenger website
