Title: Vantage XL vs Joker
Post by: Cover_Drive on April 12, 2010, 11:14:41 PM
Dan has been making impressive 'big' bats so is Charlie. My question is that out of these two which one would you pick? and why?

In terms of price I believe Vantage seems to be a bit cheaper as it is mid to top range (as described by Dan) and it cost around 160 quids. Whereas Joker (I read in another thread) is 180-200 pounds for G1

Discuss!

Cheers

they are entirely different bats... vantage xl bats are essentially normal bats, just with a hell of a lot more wood in them. jokers are smaller length of willow, slightly longer handle, to maximise pick-up and follow-through speeds without sacrificing too much in the way of lack of willow. i personally wouldn't compare them at all.

Two completely different bats and styles - not a huge amount to compare, apart from the similar maximum edge size - i'd imagine both would perform well, but withtout having tried out Dans larger edged bat it would be a baseless speculation as to it's performance, pick-up etc.

I had a question mark over Vantage XL as I thought it was shortened blade because mass amount of wood on 2.8 seems impossible. Nevertheless, thanks for you insight guys

Much appreciated
