Title: Shipping times from Australia to uk
Post by: Jimmy08 on August 31, 2008, 02:17:36 PM
Not sure where to put this but I'm looking to buy a few things from Australia and was wondering how long shipping normally takes and do the main shops like GCCC and kingsgrove have a minimum order when shipping to UK

Cheers

When I ordered some stickers they were here within a week, beware also that anything with a value over £18 can get charged customs.

Which with Parcelforce is a fair bit as they charge £15 on top for clearing fees along with 17.5% VAT on the items value. You do get lucky sometimes though, I bought some soft goods from India a while back with a value of around £600 which got through fine.

I have a friend in Brisbane if you want to pay Australian GST and avoid high postage and import taxes here.
