They are sooo tight how can I get them on!?
-
use fairy liquid then wash it off afterwards - just dab a small bit on the front, wiggle it around and it should slide on nicely.
-
Do you mean just the rubber bits?
Get a cotton bud and dip it in washing up liquid and put it around the inside of the ear sock or frames. Slide it on and then later either take it off and wash the qashing up liquid out or just leave it
-
Cheers guys got one earsock on... just one to go!
Got some new grey lenses and the earsocks through today, still can't tell what tint the old lenses are though!
-
If the earsocks are white they will be identical to my Oakleys :D
-
Leo paid a 10er for his! If anyone wants new ones email Oakley and you get some for free...Well I did anyhow!
-
I wish I had some oakleys!
-
Great in theory, but I really can't tell the difference. I'm not a massive sunglasses wearer though...It's all about the looks...
-
The looks are want I want Gareth, I prefer branded gear!!
-
Branded gear is okay, however small branded is just as good (Softs) at a fraction of the price...
However Oakley are branded and are the market leader imo.
-
I tried going the smaller brand softs but didn't like it. Just lucky I am on here so I can get branded gear at cheaper prices!
-
Not a great idea to use fairy liquid on rubber as it can perish the rubber unless you get it all off which is difficult.
-
Thats how Oakley reccomend its done though, said thats how they do it.
-
That's fair enough but I've found on bat grips it does effect the rubber but if that's what Oakley recommend it should be fine but i personally would of used baby oil but if oakley recommend it it will be fine. Around 8 years back a guy at our club used fairy to put his grip on and the grip wouldn't stop moving when he was griping the bat so he added coffee to try and stop it slipping.
-
Lol coffee!
-
What a mess it made and its a 100% true story, the guy concerned is a bit of a legend for being a bit thick perhaps that's due to him being a keeper. In a game a couple of seasons back the team we were playing were around 250 for 4 and their pro was smashing it everywhere on a red hot day and they had around 15 overs or so left he turned round and said to me and another lad Rich you know what we need now don't you ? i looked at him said whats that Essie he then said a couple of wickets, it cracked me up and i had to move away from slips as i couldn't concentrate.
-
Ha, quality! Don't know why he would use fairy liquid to put a grip on!? was he not using a grip cone?
-
Nope he was applying the grip without a cone hence why he went with fairy liquid.
-
Its the same with grips of bike handlebars. Using hairspray can give you throttle grip if you don't let it dry! Good effort getting it actually onto the bat though!
