Hi guys,
Finally found a fantastic Newbery Grizzly weighing in at 3lb 2oz
It picks up beautifully for the size of it.
It's causing some real interest from players at the club and umpires too as the side profile is enormous and the edges are almost as thick at the top as they are in the middle !

Cripes!! That's enough to scare the living daylights out of bowlers!! >:(
-
what size are the edges on that as look decent size
-
Is that one of the ones that were being sold on ebay? By the guy who had the silver www.newbery.co.uk stickers?
-
Pretty sure it is, he had 6 or so Newbery bats and I remember there being a grizzly in a heavy weight. He was also in poole/bournemouth in dorset, and those chrome stickers are really common.
-
Yep, it was originally on eBay but bought it privately.
I'm not a great fan of the extra stickers but they are smaller then than some of the other chrome ones so don't look over powering.
-
How much was it bud?
-
it not newberry stamped on the edges.
-
It is on the shoulders. Where Newbery bats get stamped.
-
Alridd, I paid £200 for it.
Pricey but it's a superb bit of willow. The guy got his bats from Newbery direct.

The seller had some quality bats but Grizzly never used one this heavy, I think from picking a few up 2.9/2.10 is more likely.
