Title: To refurb or not to refurb that is the question.
Post by: Watsontotty on May 04, 2010, 10:33:36 PM
Ive come across an old bat lying around in my house, it was a bat i was given by an Aussie pro a few seasons back well he sort of didn't bother taking it home due to the damage. Its a bat made by the head bat maker at Gray Nicolls out in Melbourne Australia. It has the professional players stamp on the shoulder and also the carbo gn handle. Its got county stickers on as that was his sponsor and they make all the county bats.

The bat needs plenty of tlc and is in need of a new handle and a full refurb by an experienced bat maker, its an absolute gun of a bat with a lovely light pick up and nice balance, I'm guessing its around 2lb 7oz in weight but is it worth spending the money on a professional refurb and new handle. Ive tried to take some pics showing the damage and i would be grateful of opinions of the bat makers on here should i refurb or not.

It's got to be worth a refurb fellla!
If it was me, I would def have it cleaned, repaired and refurbed, and revived into looking gorgeous again!  8)

You know it makes sense!!  ;)
