I don't think theres is a point having both Sangakara and Dhoni. Sangakara can do the job of the gloves as well. So having Dhoni in the side seems a bit pointless. His batting is not great selection for Asian XI

Dhoni is a awesome batsmen. I think he is quite underated.

My Team:
1. S. Gavaskar(the greatest opener ever)
2. V. Sehwag (most destructive opener ever)
3. R. Dravid(best number ever from Asia)
4. S. Tendulkar(no brainer The Master)
5. Javed Miandad(Pakistan's greatest batsman)
6. K. Sangakkara(w/k)
7. Imran Khan(great bowler and brilliant with the bat)
8. Kapil Dev(India's greatest fast bowler and destructive with the bat)
9. Wasim Akram(the greatest left arm fast bowler the World has ever seen)
10. Bishan Bedi(greatest left arm spinner the World has ever seen)
11. M. Muralitharan(statistically the greatest bowler ever)
I've chosen a side that is balance, yet with a fearful set of quicks and magical spinners. All 3 quicks are capable of bowling 90 mph. An off spinner and a left arm spinner add variation.
There plenty of batsman to choose from. Guys like Gambhir, Saeed Anwar, Zaheer Abass, Jayawardene, Inzamam, Yousuf, Laxman etc. I went for batsmen that where good away from Asia.

Is that for test or odi, Jeet?

Sorry Test team

I would add Abdul Qadir in the side instead of Bedi or Murali. I remember hear Warne saying he (Qadir) is worlds best leg spinner

Abdul Qadir was a decent leg spinner, but he was never the greatest. Qadir was never in the same class as Bedi or Chandrasekhar, two of India's famed spin quartet. Other spinners I considered where Chandrasekhar, Prasanna, Kumble, Saqlain Mushtaq.

I agree mostly with this Jeet, though I would be tempted to try and get Hanif into the side, maybe as 12th man to begin with. Also, I don't think Gambhir is worthy of reserve status quite yet.
