How do you solve said problem?! just got myself some new pads and they squeak like mad, any advice welcome
-
stick some medical tape on the arches of the foot to stop the two pvc materials rubbing together on your pads and spikes
-
You sir are a saint! My pads have been bugging me for a long time, a very long time......sounds like a solution to my pad woes!
-
also looking for a way to soften up new pads without using them in a match, dont want to use them until they are nice and comfy, was thinking about soaking them in water perhaps, anybody know a way?
-
strange.....why not wear them to bed.....wonder round the house doing the hoovering...go down the supermarket with them......on a more serious note....start wearing them in nets then voila...they get nice and soft for matches....
-
yeah, i dont get to net as much as i would like thats the problem
-
so an old trick or quick fix is what im after
-
Wearing them around the house is probably the only way - I really wouldn't soak them in water.
-
i would have thought it might soften them up buzz, what damage could it do?
-
I would think you'd saturate the padding for starters and any wetting then drying of the surface material would accelerate cracking. certainly wouldn't recommend it if you want your pads to last.
-
the padding would surely dry out natrually and the surface material would do like wise, probably not gonna do it but just wondering...
-
like cowboy boots where they wet the leather and then wear them as they mould to their feet, thats were i got the idea from
-
Soaking will probebly ruin the padding structure on the inside,
-
problem being its not leather on the pads but PVC or Pu at best which is water resistant so will bear no benefit at all apart from taking ages to dry out and doubling the weight of them in the mean time!
-
never soak them in water mate! Just wear them around the house lots and lots
