Hello Philip - welcome to Custom Bats - good to have you on board. Saw the newest version of the Stand-up bag this week and was very impressed - A lot slicker than the old model - my version 1 bag is falling apart, so might have to invest (though will prob wait until end of season sales!)

Hi Philip,
Good to have you with us, i'm sure there will be plenty of questions regarding both Aero and Nike products for you!
The one thing i would pay a lot of money for is for the stripper to intergrate a box into the design somewhere, this would be the holy grail of cricket protection in my eyes!!!

I like having them separate... I have never found the shorts with integrated box all that comfortable.

How about having a pouch, there for you can if you wish add a box if you dont want to then you dont have to?

The problem is a box would sacrifice the manouverability that is the strippers the main selling point and asset.

How about a set of thigh pads, that are the same as the strippers. But sold separately? I know a few people who don't wear thigh pads as mens thigh pads a stupidly huge! And don't like the strippers. You could make a set of outer and inners thighs as conventional thighpads, but they use your foam and stuff in them. Then stick with your sizing guide so everyone can use them.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Philip

Have a 2010 stand-up tour bag which should do me perfectly for the end of the month when we tour for 3-4 days. Although I did have to wait a long, long time for delivery - manufacturing delays or were they supply delays??

top man phil. you'll find that this forum is much more democratic than cricket supplies. I love  the aero bags, very compact yet still very spacious, ideal for the modern family home

also, all companies on here MUST offer a 60% discount for forum members  ;)

Yes.  The latest Standup Tour bag is lighter and stronger and one hell of a lot easier to put together.  I can confidently predict that there will be none available in end of season sales as we are sold out and have been for weeks.

It's a question that we have looked at a lot.  The trouble with this is that the stability required for a box (you don't want it moving around at all!!!) conflicts with the maneuverability and stretch that the strippers provide.  Hence we have released top flight underwear and a great cup that both integrate with the strippers.  But they are not part of the stripper system per se.  We had a shot at developing some shorts with this cup as well, but the box just wouldn't stay in place.  Watch this space...

Thanks for the feedback Liam.  It's definitely worth a thought.

A little bit of both plus much greater demand than we were expecting.  Retailers sold out faster than they were expecting, we ran out of stock way earlier then we should have. Chuck in a few logistics delays and that's what you experienced.  I'm glad you got your hands on one.

Yes - being launched for 2011 probably available pre-Xmas this year, but still to confirm that.

You may have to wait a bit for Aero bats.  we have a lot of new product (Aero and Nike) on our hands for 2011 so Aero bats have had to go on the backburner for a bit.

Hi Philip.

Will Aero or Nike be releasing any range of softs soon in the UK? I know Aero have softs currently but will there be any more 'traditional' designs?

There will be some new developments in this area for next year but I can't say much more that that right now.

Philip

Any improvement or changes to the Aero grips, or are they the same?
Also, is supply being stepped up a little, as they are never easy to get hold of?

We are working on some enhancements to take the grips to the next level of technology.  Probably at least 2 seasons away though.

The grips have been hard to get in the UK this season I know.  We still have some stock on hand though, so it should be possible to get them.
