Are these any good for a bowler? The guy in VKS seemed to think so but on owzat it says batting shoes?
-
I wouldn't necessarily trust a huge amount of what they say in VKS. They have very varied knowledge bases.
-
I would also trust owzat - Run for cricketers by cricketers.

Lets be honest though, you wouldnt start a cricket shop unless you played it

Judging by the name '170 not out' I think they're batting spikes, but for a medium pacer it doesn't matter...
-
I think I will get strike rates
-
For bowling in?
-
Yeah
-
Ok, what kind of spikes/pins are they because I may get some but I'm worried they'll bend or snap lol
-
They look just like normal cricket spikes but there is not as big a circle attaching them into the shoe
-
Ok thanks Leo

I have a pair of these, they a definatley batting spikes, slightly heavier than other asics models (for the protection?), but i still use it for my spin on wet days.

170's are great shoes (I have them)... they seem to be made for all rounders as i can remember seeing medium fast bowlers at international and county level using them. Luke wright, Shane Watson and Graham Napier spring to mind immidiately... while Suraj Randiv and Steven Smith are the spinners who use them... even Nathan Hauritz used them for a period of time before he went with Adidas
