Title: My Warwickshire CCC Ayrtek
Post by: m4ttc on June 24, 2010, 12:47:49 PM
Has arrived!  Really please with it and how light and comfy it feels especially compared to my Albion Australia test lid.

Really made up with it and thanks to Tom for great service!

Mr maddys ACIS seem to have "popped out" so to speak will have to sort that one out with a quick re-glue! others look ok though 1 out of 15 isnt too bad after a 7 day turnaround on 15 custom made lids!

Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on July 08, 2010, 08:54:08 AM

Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on July 08, 2010, 09:32:07 AM
thanks tom havent managed to get to the bottom of the mystery but seems to have now been solved......perhaps more will follow if troughton took a blow to the head in another brand of lid??
Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Tom on July 08, 2010, 09:36:36 AM
Troughton was using Albion, Tino Best bounced him and I think it went between the visor/grille gap.
Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on July 08, 2010, 09:42:13 AM
bad times.....this is why the BSI recommend setting of between 45-55mm only and as such should be adhered to in order to avoid the ball fitting between them, obviously when the ball hit the peak  material may flex as well causing it to even even further!

Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Buzz on July 15, 2010, 10:00:24 AM
Tom, have you managed to show your wears to the Aussies since they have been over here? might be a good opportunity for you ahead of the Ashes...
Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Alvaro on July 15, 2010, 10:02:25 AM
You should try Katich - his beak would suit the visor on the ayrteks!
Wouldn't any ayrteks have to be unbranded because of the Aussie/Albion deal?
Title: Re: My Warwichshire CCC Ayrtec
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on July 15, 2010, 10:37:12 AM
Even if they are unbranded it's pretty easy to recognise it as one of ours due to the unique design which was another reason behind it :) haven't as yet but would be good to get a few on board!

Title: Re: My Warwickshire CCC Ayrtek
Post by: procricket on August 06, 2010, 04:25:34 PM
tom it got a new addition and the picture is what i think of the ultimate protection....

got to be honest no blowing smoke up arses here at first i thought the helmet was going to be a gimmicky thing looks wise it looked horrible but even most of the people who looked at it thought it looked better than on tv and to be honest it is comfortable and the viewing area is better than any helmet going bar none and i have them all..

i think the helmet is worth every penny and as people who know me know i take protection seriously and use only what i consider the best in all forms of protection and i use ayrtek and remfry the best in both fields in my opinion
