Gloves:

Looks a decent effort to be fair and an improvement on the old gear.

They're alright, price would be the main factor in them selling I'd think. Much like the bats.

Gloves (green) are ok but pads are nasty

I saw this on CSF and emailed Solitaire about prices - Gloves and £30 and Pads are £50. Seem a very good option for someone with a smaller budget or a more casual cricketer

I have to say I think they look a bit of alright.  Price range is not to bad either, I wonder if you could knock a bit of if you went for a bundle as £180 for a custom bat, pads and gloves is pretty impressive.

Has anyone got any of the Solitaire Gloves? I was thinking about purchasing some when I go back and collect my bat. I tried some on and they seem very comfortable, but they feel as though they are going to retain heat as they don't seem to have any air flow - so will they get sweaty and retain moisture?

I have the solitaire pads in the pink colour and they offer great protection. Have been hit with pretty fast balls and wouldnt even notice it hit me

I have to say they do look fairly nice. But i don't think they look as nice as the new Ayrtek ones. Both similar in price as well.

Yeah your right walker. I am thinking of getting ayrtek pads and gloves to match each other as my solitaire gloves are the cheaper ones and would like to replace them

Think ill be getting some as well. Not until Xmas though and then ill have them ready for winter nets.
Solitaire have gone for the white wrist band as well, might be becoming popular with manufacturers. Not seen it used before until I saw the Ayrtek. Does look good.

newbery and bradbury each had white wrist bands on their gloves this year.

only issue i had having used a pair of bradbury is that they do get dirty and look a bit grubby with heavy use.

Yeah i agree only had a limited number produced in white for the time being to gain some feedback on them as i wanted the wristband black with a silver and green line running through them which they had but then ran out of when it came to making them up :( to avoid the issue of it becoming dirty too quickly...this was discussed in another thread anyway :)

Oh rite. My knowledge on all brands is limited. Since becoming a member on this forum though it has rocketed :)
The dirt issue is a slight problem to consider but nothing major considering the white does look the part. A bit of vanish can always remedy.

Yeah think the White wristbands makes them look a lot more classy and as u say nothing a bit if elbow grease won't cure!
