This season I have been using one of the newly designed Blue Room bats made by Rob Pack.
Just to say this is by far and away the best bat I've ever had and service he provides couldn't not be beaten!
Has anybody else got/used a Blue Room what are their thoughts on them?
Will add some pics tonight.
-
Yep - have a blue room swell.
Great pick-up and very nice grains but haven't used it yet.
-
This will for sure be my next bat.. Rob's customer service is amazing, I was going to get one from him this year but his stickers didn't get in on time and I couldn't wait so next year it will be..
-
Has to be said, the branding of these bats is terrible.
-
got any pictures of these blue rooms bats?-would love to see it

it more what under mate like laver's not the best stickers in the world but performance wise as good as it gets
-
I like the stickers but it's all personal taste and can see why some people don't like them.
However Rob makes bats for Puma's I'm sure he would put some off their stickers on or buy some of ebay.
At the end of the day performance of the bat is most important stickers can be changed.
I've got a New Wave i like the more traditional profile more wood behind the spine instead of chunky edges.
Will put photos up later

Unstickered is always the best look, anyway.
-
Have seen a few of his bats very good, never heard anything bad only good!!! And his customer service is second to none.
-
Someone at our club is friends with Rob and subsequently there are about five or six of these at our club.
Most of them are good looking bats and people are pleased with them.
I particularly like the look of a couple of them.
One of our lads, who has played for thirty odd years claims it is one of the best bats he has ever had and it single handedly reignited his love for batting. He is quite wordy this lad, but obviously a good recommendation.
They appear to be on the softer side some perform well straight away.
Stickers are (No Swearing Please) though, in my opinion.
One of our lads got a Kieswetter (?) reject as he had to wait for some time.
I haven't played with it , but... suffice to say it looks good.
Good price for generally good bats in my opinion.
-
I personally really like the stickers and am looking at investing in the near future
-
seen stickers that are far worse than them....60mm edges on a bat is some effort!
-
Stickers are awesome, especially the pink ones!
-
bit of quiksilver wave look to them based on the surf type names etc
-
I have one, and I have to say it is not far behind my lavers. Not used in a game yet but good ping in the nets
-
What model did you go for Barry?

Looks really nice pete, what weight is it btw?
-
Looks bloody lush and a really nice shape. Also liking the standard 50p edge measurements!
-
It's 2'13 with 2 thick grips. But good pick-up (the 2 grips help the balance) and there seems to be no slim or skinny bits anywhere on the bat. Haven't used it in anger yet, but feels nice enough!!
-
Send it over Pete i will give it a few whacks and tell you what its like, I'm sure you have far too many bats and you won't get around to this one.
-
looks nice and chunky as you say pete!!
Off topic, watsontotty £18 for rp's??
-
lets see the merchandise bud but no promises, could do a swap or something though as i could possibly use them.
-
pm me your email mate :)
swaps are good if any glvoes are going!
-
Sent the details you need bud, Pete I'm guessing you must be busy packaging that bat up lol.
-
emailed you watson!
Not mad about the stickers on the bats! But look very decent willow
-
I went for the swell cannot recommend it enough. Robert is a top bloke gives a real personal service to a custom bat
-

Why are there no post offices open at this time of night!!
Ah well.....I guess I will simply have to use it myself instead!
-
Intereting the grain on that maybe it me but you can almost tell a bat by it grain structure like look at lavers private bin all similar grain structure or maybe it me and the grog
Does Robert pack make all his bats or does he sub contract out Please note I know laver does not make these bats just wondering if he contracts out at all I know he makes for puma
-
Rob will finish some bats for Puma and also Blue Room.
-
Blue Room is his own make.
Pretty sure he buys in from Asia, but gets a fair share of good wilow.
-
He makes the Blue Room bats personally he gets the puma bats from Asia and finishes them..
Pete your bat looks amazing.. I love it, it has the perfect grains IMO..
-
He doesn't finish any bats from India, he only finishes UK made bats.
-
Explain a bit further then.
This suggests that all Kooks and Puma bats sold in UK are made in the UK
-
not really, just that he doesnt finish all puma bats.
-
OK, hence a bit more explanation would be useful..If not here a PM would be helpful on where they come from and what models he does etc
I thought all Kooks and Pumas came in from Asia now
