Title: How do you rate Puma kit?
Post by: iand123 on July 09, 2010, 08:45:20 AM
Has anyone used Puma kit, especially their bats. I like the look of the Puma Evo bat but i dont know anyone who has ever had a puma bat. I believe they got a good review in one of the magazine gear reviews this year

I'm really happy with my Willostix stick right now, and was looking at a backup so probably wouldnt go up to the 5000 range. How much did you pay for all of that if you dont mind me asking? What weight bat is it as well?

Given the way that Puma / Adidas and companies of similar stature behave, im inclined to wait until end of season sales, as alot of shops seem to mark down their stock on these brands

sergio ramos?

are you able to say how cheap you got it?

i believe the saying sergio ramos means it will be rubbish (or someone who is two faced!!!)

Unless we are talking about the player, then the bat looks crap but is actually quite good ;), or some may say he looks good but is sh!t which is probably accurate for the lower pumas!

I have an Iridium 6000GTR which I've used and goes beautifully!!

Also have an unused Evo 5000 from end of last season - haven't used it so can't comment on how it goes, but it feels lovely pick-up and the willow is excellent.
Also have one of the Gilchrist Puma 6000 bats which is lightly used but not by me yet!

And last but not least I have one of Fintoffs actual 2010 Kenetics, but can't bring myself to use that yet!!  :(

They do seem to do excellent gear these days!

Fancy parting with any of them? ;)

Well - the Evo is unused and with my bats, I'm not likely to use it anytime soon!
I guess the Aussie Ballistic 6000 as well, but I guess it would depend what weight you're looking for?

Pete, please put pictures up of flintoffs kientic. I will pop them up for you if you email them to me.

I love pume gear, i believe they are the nest softs on the market. I have this years 4000 gloves and love them. They look great and are sooo light!

Nothing wrong with my iridium spikes quite comfy but they are a cricket shoe not a trainer with spikes lol plus I have used puma cell bowling boots in the past and lasted years with no problems

bats average at best, pads the worst fitting i have used bar a Australia pair of ballistics Sm,,boot are very comfortable and quite cheap and as good as many asics and Adidas,,

the gloves as good as any on the market in terms of protection, comfability and durability there is a reason why so many are copying them..

clothing white are good but expensive overall for a "big brand" there average IMO at best there prices range is quite high and not convinced of the quality of there bats minus the 5000 range...

in my honest opinion another gimmicky company without much substance...

pads+gloves=lovely, had a few pairs from ballistic world cup 4000's to boxing day le's, truly outstanding,
keeping gear= cannot be beat,
bats, only had one which was a ballistic 5000. which i sold to slogski i think, shame, had a carbon handle, pick up and balance wasnt great, but i really remember it going!
