Title: Black Cat Voodoo
Post by: Black Cat Cricket on August 06, 2010, 11:43:52 PM
The stickers for the Voodoo have finally arrived.  They took a long time to get just perfect but they are spot on now.

The Voodoo has a low middle, but maintains a great pick-up.  Shape wise, its similar to an M&H Distinction crossed with a GM Hero.

The stickers are as shown, dark grey, black and metallic silver.  The pin stripes and the checks on on the band are embossed.

There are also other colours: pink, white, purple, teal, lime green, maroon and coral, and the bats can have the customers' initials on as well.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, price will be £250, £230 for forum members.

We have a few bats in stock at the moment, mainly towards the lighter end.  The lightest weighs in at 2lb 5.5oz without stickers and grips, so if you're after a light bat at the moment, the Voodoo is for you.  Obviously, it will be available in heavier weights as well.

Cheers

Blade looks very nice. Can't make my mind up about the stickers, very Salix-esque

Charlie - great work fella! Looks the mutts nuts!!
It is a classy bat and stickers. And I assume that the willow quality and responsiveness of the blade will be up to the usual high levels?

Well, with my Black Cat match bat going so well off the (rather generous) middle, I suppose I will just have to see if all the Black Cats I get will perform as stunningly well!  :D

This looks like one of the nicest bats I have seen in ages. The stickers look real classy and are arguably some of the classiest out there, look forward to seeing the different colours. Well done

Minor point, but before you do production runs of this the MCC have changed the laws and now you must state TYPE A/B/C rather than GRADE A/B/C

Very nice :D The shape is a bit like a Thruxton....no bad thing though. Looks lovely. I wish it was a tad *wink wink* cheaper though *nudge nudge*

Looks absolutely first class. From reading the forum it seems that is incredibly difficult to start your own cricket brand but Black Cat seem to have got it spot on everytime so far. Keep up the good work.

There has been nothing but positive reviews on all Black Cat bats and this is really impressive.
Do any of the county/international players use Black Cat either as it is or stickered up as other bats?

That looks P.I.M.P!!
looks like a lot of thought and effort have gone into the sticker design, very clean and sharp.
like an expensive suit!!

Who is the bat maker for Black Cat?

Please have a check back over previous topics regarding why we can't/don't reveal who makes our bats.  There aren't many brands who have bats contract made that are willing to shout about who makes them, or indeed contract manufacturers that are willing to let the brands they make for reveal the arrangement.

Its pretty obvious if you think about it... think who makes the best bats in England?  Then you will know who makes Black Cat

Well thats debatable. Redback, SAF, Newbery etc.. all arguably make the best bats.

Whoever makes them does an awesome job!
Charlie, just make sure you stay with the same maker, as he's doing such a brilliant job!

Love the look of the Voodoo bat, just looked on the Black Cat website and there is no sign of Voodoo bats for sale.
Are these a 2010 model not to be continued in 2011? please say that isn't the case!!!

The Voodoo is a 2011 model, but they are ltd edition- if they sell out before, they may never see the 2011 season!

The reason why they're not on the website is I'm yet to get proper photographs done, as the chap I usually use seems to have disappeared!

Currently, the only people that know about them are forum members...

Hope that clears it up.  Cheers

Looks superb, available in long blade?

Also any chance of a preview of the different sticker colours?

Long blade should be do-able, but will take a bit longer.  The ones I currently have in stock are normal SHs.

Just about to upload some photos of the white stickers..

Is it possible to see a side by side profile picture of the Shadow and Voodoo as a comparison of shape and middle position?
