well best way to describe it is well if there was a grade 5 for looks this would be it but tell you what off a mallett it goes not sound half bad..
had a big discussion with the owner who assures me english willow it look a little dark due to oiling but my god it does play well of the mallett
pictures to follow
size sh

looks well dark wood i thought kashmir but they say not and after a few of theese bar stained dark spotted bats before quite happy with it...

UGLY LOOKING BAT BUT PLAYS QUITE Well
well what can i say i took a gamble and it paid off not a bad bat at all
-
shame about the willow because its actually got a really nice profile
-
that suspiciously looks like a CJI fatso, prolly EWNI..
-
it is not ewni(kashmir willow ) trust me just a low grade english willow and not from cji either ....
makes a change to get something that is not beutiful but it not bad had a net with it went quite well of course not in the same league as my ss ton or chase or laver or mg2 but tell you what it not a bad one had worst from some in grade 1
like the seller did say it is a dog to look at and i agree
-
I would say Kashmir
-
I've had a few like this, all Red with tight grains but full of blemishes, it's original Salix rather than Salix Alba.
-
it not that dark in person it just been oiled....
i too mije have seen many of these sure there called chicken korma i think
-
Was this really 1p by the way?!
-
yes buying price was 1p
-
postage was?
-
29 pound mate
-
very sorry about not doing pics mate, i was at cricket when you sent email!
-
no need to say sorry mate you have done me enough favours in the past
-
Dave we can all see your slowly working your way into a modelling role in the pictures...come on dont be shy!
-
all in all if your budget is tight worth a look at i think had another blast on the bowling machine it starting to respond well and for 30 pound you can not argue..
on performance i would happly pay double what i did for this bat
only thing that let this down was it was said to be knocked in and oiled it was not and the scuff sheet was just a fibertape sheet but all in all good purchase
