Title: Best Boutique/Small company batting pads and gloves combo.
Post by: Biggyd63 on August 31, 2010, 03:55:37 PM
As above
Which offer a small mens option.
Whilst watching the Yorks vs Northants game today noticed some vantage stuff, looks quality. Its great to see on the tv.
Opinions on which people prefer.

Haven't looked at the SAF softs yet....so may just have to look!
But if they're anything like the bat stickers, then they have to be very classy!

I see Ian has still got our glove design up on his website!

Id say Salix/M&H were a bit bigger than boutique brands but depends what quantifies this i guess??

Oooh, I remember looking at the SAF softs now - love the class of them. Nice detailing.
There are lots of nice softs around.......and I think that helps push the standard higher!  :D

If companies want to compete against these standards, then they have to set their standards up!!

also. i spose its what you're really looking for, is it continuioty withing the pads and gloves cosmetically, or just the top quality protection, because based on this criteria the answer will inevitably be different

My M&H distinction combo was pretty good, not cheap tho.... Pads are the best ive worn (still going strong) , gloves i found a bit bulky

Also the m & h are 5 finger split gloves do allow for more flexibility of the hand

From experience I would go with Salix or Redback, I have tried both companies and their quality is very high.
