Title: New Bat, Many choices, help needed
Post by: thebd11 on September 05, 2010, 12:51:36 PM
Hi guys, looking for help on which bat to get. Shaping Is no issue as would be getting two, one with a high middle, one with a low middle. Just looking for which company you would personally recommend?

Thanks

I believe that the Ayrtek bats are UK made.
From what I hear they are top quality too!  8)

Having used Bulldog bats for the last few seasons I can thoroughly reccomend them. The Pedigree I have has been and still is a gun, but unfortunately it has a terminal crack so it's gonna be replaced for next season. Also got my first ton with it so if you got one you'd not go far wrong.

However I think you have a fantastic list there and I'm sure you'd not go far wrong with any of them.

I'm rather intrigued as to what a 'Lekka Omega Edition Custom' is exactly?

I have found Lekka to do some decent bats!
I wasn't expecting them to be after reading lots of stuff about him a year ago! But since actually having some now, they have so far been decent! The only one I've tried so far is the T20 - tried it for a couple of minutes in the nets whilst in Southampton, and as expected with that big profile it went really well!
Not sure what the new model is like...may have to look into that myself so I keep up with the new releases!

i had the cor3 series one and couldnt get on with the pickup, having said this the ball went nicely off the bat so id expect the top model to be exceptional , i have team mates who use chase and spyder bats and they both seem top but the spyder would get my vote (just), but i have no experience (yet) when it comes to bulldog and lekka

might be, would explain the lack of return emails, but the thing is that Im looking for a complete kit. any recommendations of places I could get the following, with a possible sponsorship detail:
2 x custom made premium willow bats
1 x grade 1 net bat
2 x top range pads
2 x top range gloves
wheelie bag
duffle bag
thigh pad(s)
trousers

Have been quoted around 650-750 at the moment so any options or offers would be apprecitated :)
