Title: Re-stickering my Bat,what steps should i follow?
Post by: slcric on September 16, 2010, 04:49:48 AM
Hi there!
I have a Small Mens Puma Ballistic 5000 G1 Bat,as i have my customized stickers i'm going to take the Puma stickers off and apply the custom stickers. But before i do that,i have a few questions, they are:

1.What is the best way to take the current stickers off without damaging the Bat?
2.After taking off the current stickers, how should i clean the Bat?
3.To make the new stickers stick in well, which kind of sand paper should i use to sand the Bat?
4.Any other techniques i should use in this case?

Heat the stickers with a hair dryer then pull them across the bat face rather than up or down. Use a little white spirit or meth's to rub off the remaining glue and that should be fine unless your new stickers are smaller than the old ones. In which case there may be white shadow marks but you will not sand these out so I'd advise leaving, they will fade in time.
